Dear Jayce,
These past three years we have watched God work miracles in your life. He asked your kidneys to start doing their job when you were lying helplessly in the NICU at 29 weeks. He healed an IV infiltration in your ankle without the need of surgery. He made the extra build up of fluid between your brain and skull disappear after we had been told that it would always be there. He helped you learn how to nurse, sit up, crawl, walk, and talk. Those things seem so simple to most, but these accomplishments are not to be taken lightly for a 29 weeker. God has been so good to us. You are a fighter. We can finally say that you are a typically developing little boy who brings so much joy to our lives!
We had so much fun celebrating your third birthday at the skating rink. We decided a skating party would be perfect just two days before your big day. After I overheard your 7 year old brother asking the Lord to please allow little Jayce to have a skating party on his big day, how could this mommy say no? God made kids in a way that they know how to get straight to their mommy’s hearts!
Even though you didn’t skate for long, all of your friends seemed to enjoy themselves. You enjoyed watching them and playing games with Papaw Paul.
Your PAW Patrol cupcakes were delicious. I loved spending time with you as we picked everything out the day before your party. The balloon you chose was enormous, but it lasted less than an hour. Big sisters have a way of sitting on balloons and popping them. 🙂 You did not mind as long as I promised to get you another one before your party started.
You really are one of the sweetest little guys that I know. I am so thankful for all God has done these past three years. I am grateful that we all get to experience life with you every day! We will love you forever. Stay sweet precious, boy! Stay sweet!
Love Always,
Mommy ♡
